Remodels
Remodel & Renovation Wiring in Clyde Hill
Opening up a kitchen or adding a room is the one moment the walls are accessible. We plan the circuits for how the room will actually be used, then rough in to suit the trades following us. Talk the plan through on (000) 000-0000.
Remodel wiring fails most often on sequencing rather than on the electrical work itself. Cable has to be in before insulation, devices after drywall and paint, and the rough-in inspection has to clear before anything is closed up. We work to the builder's programme and flag the dates that matter early, because a missed rough-in inspection is the one that costs a week.
How it goes
What the job looks like
01
Walk the drawings
We go through the plan room by room and mark where circuits, switches and fittings need to land.
02
Rough-in
Cable, boxes and panel work go in while the walls are open, set out for the rough-in inspection.
03
Trim out
Devices, fittings and covers go on after paint, and every circuit is tested and labelled before handover.
Detail
What we watch for
- Kitchen circuits done properly — small-appliance, dishwasher, disposal and range circuits kept separate as the code requires
- Lighting planned by room — layers rather than one central fitting, so the room works at different times of day
- Panel capacity checked first — an addition can quietly exceed the service, and it is cheaper to know before the walls close
- Inspection dates flagged — we tell your builder which dates we need, rather than discovering them late
Questions
Asked often
Do you work alongside our builder?
Yes. On most remodels we are one trade among several, and we work to the programme the builder sets. We ask for the rough-in date early because that is the one that holds everything else up if it slips.
Can you reuse the existing wiring?
Sometimes. Cable in good condition with an intact ground can often stay. Older cloth-sheathed or ungrounded cable in a wall you have opened is worth replacing while access is free, and we will tell you which category yours falls into.
