Panels
Electrical Panel Upgrades in Clyde Hill, WA
Panels get replaced for three reasons: no space left, a known-faulty brand, or a service too small for what the house now runs. We will tell you which one applies to yours. Ask on (000) 000-0000.
An upgrade is not automatically about going to a bigger service. Plenty of houses have a 200-amp service and a full panel, where the answer is a sub-panel rather than a service change. Where the service genuinely is undersized, the work involves the utility as well as us, and that coordination is part of the job rather than something we hand back to you.

Sub-panel, panel replacement or a full service change, whichever the numbers actually support.
03
Change over and inspect
The changeover is scheduled for a day you know about, then inspected and signed off.
Detail
What we watch for
- Known-problem panels identified — certain older brands have documented failure modes and should be replaced regardless of space
- Utility coordination handled — where the service changes, we deal with the scheduling rather than leaving it to you
- Every circuit labelled — the new directory is accurate and legible, which the old one rarely was
- Whole-home surge considered — a panel change is the cheapest moment to add surge protection, if you want it
Questions
Asked often
Do I need 400 amps?
Almost certainly not. Very large houses with multiple heat pumps, a pool and several chargers sometimes do, but most homes are well served by 200 amps once the load is calculated properly. We would rather talk you out of capacity you will not use.
How long is the power off?
Typically most of a working day for a panel replacement. We agree the date in advance so you can plan around it, and we do not start a changeover we cannot finish and energise the same day.
